Italian instruments from the late 17th to mid 18th centuries, especially those by Stradivari and Guarneri are some of the greatest instruments ever created, and they remain today as our paradigms and standards of making.

At this time, Alkis has decided to focus on two Stradivari  and two Guarneri models (forms) for violins, and three very different viola models for his copies of a number of original masterpieces:

·         PG Form: 1714 Soil, 1714 (?) Messiah,  1721 Lady Blunt, 1724 Abergavanny

 Guarneri del Gesu

·        Form 2:  1735 King,  1735 Plowden,  1737 King Joseph,  1737 Joachim,                           1740   Ysaye,   1741 Kochanski,  1741 Vieuxtemps
